We have a wide range
of volunteering opportunities at The Art Ministry. We provide a fun and
rewarding environment, with appropriate training and support, and the payment
of reasonable expenses. No matter what your skills are, we are sure
that we can make use of them. There are always
opportunities for volunteer session helpers. Sessions run throughout the
week, as shown on the Schedule page, and you can pick and
choose which sessions you would like to help with. We
also need helpers at community events, you can see
the events on our calendar. Session and Event Helpers There are always opportunities for volunteer
session helpers. Sessions run throughout the week, some are term time only,
and you can pick and choose which sessions you would like to help
with. We also need helpers at community events throughout the year. Hadleigh: Monday/Tuesday mornings and evenings, and
Wednesday/Thursday afternoons. Westcliff: Wednesday, term time only, at a junior
school, 3 to 4.30 – there are 20 children. Southend: Monday, term time only, for adults with visual
impairments, 11 to 12.30 at the Ekco Sports
and Social Club. We also need helpers for eight week blocks of
sessions in sheltered housing schemes around Essex – please ask where we are
currently planning to work. As well as session helpers, we also need
volunteers behind the scenes to help The Art Ministry run smoothly, such as
helping with administration, fund-raising and grant applications. If you have a particular skill that you would like to teach to a
session, such as card making, glass painting etc., then we would be happy for
you to volunteer your services on an occasional basis. We would provide
materials and cover reasonable expenses. To see role description click here: Art

Application Form We are always seeking new trustees to help us run The Art Ministry. It's
a great opportunity to broaden your horizons, develop new and/or use existing
skills and to make a contribution to a very worthwhile local charity. Trustee meetings are six times a year, usually on a weekday evening.
Each trustee has a specific remit, such as fundraising or volunteer
management, and they all share in general management and responsibility for
completing the action points that result from the trustee meetings – see
advert here. Please click on the link below to see the
