We have been awarded
£14,000 by Essex County Council, £12,050 by the Community Organisations Cost
of Living Fund and £1,407 by the Co-op Community Foundation. We
had a fundraising meal at the Shagor Tandoori Restaurant on 26th October and raised just over £300. We
have just been awarded £3,600 by the Screwfix
Foundation so that we can make our art room in Hadleigh
warmer in winter and cooler in summer. This will allow us to improve the
accessibility of our creative sessions. We
have just been awarded £4,000 by the Southend
Community Investment Fund to allow us to run regular creative sessions for
homeless people in Southend. We
had a fundraising meal at the Maharaja Indian restaurant in Benfleet on 25th
May and raised £450. Thank you to all who came and who donated raffle prizes. Our students pay a
nominal fee for each session that they attend. These fees go some way to meeting
our costs, but the majority of our funding comes in the form of grants that
we have applied for and from money that we have raised ourselves. HERE'S HOW YOU CAN HELP
THE ART MINISTRY RAISE FUNDS
We
have just received a Magic Little Grant of £500 from the People’s Postcode
Lottery towards art and craft materials for our weekly session for young
people with special needs. We
are currently partly funded by Southend Community
Investment Fund, Comic Relief Community Fund, ROSCA Trust, ASDA Foundation,
Essex Fund, Perry Watlington Trust, Movement for
Good, M&S Gifting, Allen Lane Foundation, Yellow Car Charitable Fund and
Alston Family Charitable Funds and the Lions Club of Leigh on Sea. |
