FUNDRAISING
Members pay a nominal fee for each
class they attend. These fees go some way to meeting our costs, but the
majority of our funding comes in the form of grants that we have applied for.
Due to the recession, 2009 was a
very tough year. Howvever, our team of
fundraising volunteers, led by Kevin Robson, and supported by CAVS, put in an
excellent performance throughout 2009, meaning that we moved into 2010 with a
healthy bank balance.
However, The Art Ministry continues
to incur costs and so we have an on-going need to raise funds.
In addition to applying for grants,
we also generate income through fundraising activities, such as charity meals,
collections and sponsored events.
We would like to record our thanks
to all of our supporters, and in particular to our main funders in 2009.
