Our students pay a nominal fee for each session that they attend. These fees go some way to meeting our costs, but the majority of our funding comes in the form of grants that we have applied for and from money that we have raised ourselves.

HERE'S HOW YOU CAN HELP THE ART MINISTRY RAISE FUNDS

Sign up to Amazon Smile for free and earn a donation for your chosen charity. It's usually 0.5% of the net price. You can sign up here.

Sign up for free to the Give as you Live app and when you use it to buy goods and services on the internet, from many of the big suppliers plus lots of smaller ones, they will make a donation to The Art Ministry. It costs you nothing extra but you must be signed in to Give as you Live when you shop and sign up in the first place via this link: Give as you Live

We have just received funding from the National Lottery Community Fund and the Southend Emergency Fund to help us run whatever sessions we can for free until the end of March.

We have received 400 from Neighbourly, who are backed by the likes of Marks and Spencer. This has been used to provide craft bags to the local community during the Coronavirus lockdown.

Earlier in the year we took part in the Tesco Bags of Help Token scheme and were very pleased to receive 1,166 as a result.

In 2019 we had 8 people taking part in this year's Moonlight Colourthon to raise money for The Art Ministry. They raised over 2,750.

We raised 800 from our two charity meals in 2019. Keep an eye out for details of our meals in 2021, usually in May and October half terms.

We have been successful in our application for a Southend Safe and Enjoyable High Street Grant. We will use the money to allow us to keep providing weekly arts and crafts sessions for residents of a complex needs hostel in the centre of Southend.

Thank you to the Asda customers who voted for us with their green tokens at the end of 2019. As a result we received a cheque for 500. We also did a charity collection at the Shoeburyness store and raised nearly 100.

Thank you to customers of Leigh on Sea Waitrose's green tokens who supported us in January 2019. As a result we have just received a cheque for 213 from Waitrose.
